500

I'm happy: Trinity has been downloaded more than 500 times in its first week. Pretty good I think for a platform that's 3+ years old. I told myself I'd be pleased if Trinity got 1000 downloads altogether. Looks like it should surpass that. At this rate, Trinity will make Hall of Fame by April.

Ya right. I'll be stunned if it ever makes it: nowadays, the 5000 downloads requirement imposed on NWN2 modules seems unsurmountable.

Be that as it may, right now, my heart warms at the feedback and that's what matters at this stage. I do wish the feedback ratio could top the 2% mark, but that's ever been the norm, so that's just the way it'll have to be.

yeah always thought the 5000 requirement was a little arbitrary addiiton to an already arbitrary measurement. BUT it does mean you stay on the front page list of module longer.

glad all your work has paid off so well

Congrats for the raising number of downloads and for the votes :D

You have done a great work for the nwn community, in times where the shadow of Dragon Age is darkening the future of NWN2.

Even though the overall downloads may lessen for NWN2, the real killer for mods (and this happened a lot in NWN1 as well) seems to be when people just don't comment or review. It kinda pisses me off to be honest.

Ah well, whether it'll make the HoF or not, it's an extraordinary piece of work and people seem to be enjoying it. :)

Congratulations, E.C.!

p.s. I think they should decrease the # or downloads to 3000 these days.

Impressive stuff there. I think that if Trinity can't make it into the HOF, then there needs to be a serious review of what qualifies as HOF material.

I'll echo Starwars on votes: you can have many, many downloads, but if people don't vote you can be lost in "Vault Limbo"--it's a scary place, let me tell you.

After the success of Trinity amongst the nwn comunity, are you planning to release "A time to die" some day?

The original download count for NWN1 was also very high as I recall i.e. 10000 + or perhaps even higher...and subsequently dropped by Maximus as the plaform aged.

Perhaps you should inquire in the future?

Thanks guys!

Always wondered though if HoF was a reward or a form of forced retirement... As Wyrin says, one good thing about the 5000 is that we stay on the front page longer as we gain downloads slowly. But then, what does that mean to the good sub-9 mods that never get there because higher rated mods camp the place...

Anyway, the real reward is getting a comment from a player who liked what you did.

Anonymous 1: Sorry, but Time to Di is cancelled. LadyElvenstar dropped out of NWN2 a while ago. Sorry not to have made it more official.

Anonymous 2: Interesting. Did not know NWN1 mods had had a dl requirement. I suppose NWN2 requirements will follow the same course then.

Sorry I try never to leave anonymous comments. I am anonymous 2.

Yes I can confirm at one time the HOF on NWN1 was much higher. The bright lights of 2005 created content at least as worthy and Maximus was appealed to and dropped the requirement. It was in those days we started "Themed campaign threads" and "Overlooked reports" to profile young authors named Luspr, Hugie, Tiberius, Alazander.

You get my drift.

You can no longer search for the thread on bioware but even emails to some of the above might flesh out the numbers.

I would recommend a "couple of authors" engage beyond the pale to at least review and consider.

PS congrats on your mod.
